DIGITAL COLLAGE
A workshop to understand the environmental impact of digital technologies
The switch to digital technologies is often seen as an answer to lessen our impact on the environment. However, the environmental impact of digital technologies is not to be understimated. Thanks to the Digital Collage, a workshop created in France and already experienced by more than 170 000 people, participants can learn about the impact of digital technologies on the environment and how to reduce it. We offer this workshop in Japanese, English and French to support domestic and foreign companies in Japan.
About Digital Collage
The Digital Collage is a science-based, collaborative workshop that turns the environmental impact of digital technology into something teams can build, discuss, and act on together. Participants themselves piece together the causes and consequences of digital technology’s environmental footprint, card by card, guided by a certified facilitator, and leave more aware and motivated to act with a first batch of concrete action ideas that feed directly into your company’s digital sobriety or IT sustainability strategy.
Participants: 4 to 7 participants per table (recommended size: 6~7)
Available languages : Japanese, English, French
Place: Anywhere you want – We just need a large table!
Duration: 3 hours (standard) to 5 hours (extended)

USE CASES
Sustainability Department
Get a concrete understanding of digital technology’s environmental footprint, an area often overlooked in broader climate strategies.
IT Department
Equip the people who manage your infrastructure, devices, and cloud usage with the knowledge to identify where digital sobriety measures will have the most impact.
Management
Give leadership a shared, science-based understanding of digital technology’s environmental cost to make informed decisions on IT policies and strategies.

WHY IT WORKS?
Concrete Knowledge
Every card is based on data from recognized studies on digital technology’s environmental impact covering manufacturing, energy use, and end-of-life across the full digital lifecycle.
No Passive Participation
Because all insights come from the group’s own work, participants leave with genuine ownership of the topic and concrete action ideas
Bottom-Up Actions
Rather than a top-bottom strategy, ideas generated in the workshop originate from people who will actually execute them, making them more powerful.
